Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about horses, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

As a Sales Associate, you will represent the LeMieux brand by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high merchandising standards, and supporting day-to-day retail operations. You will assist riders, trainers, horse owners, and equestrian enthusiasts in finding products that meet their needs while creating a welcoming and knowledgeable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service in a friendly and professional manner.

• Offer knowledgeable guidance on LeMieux tack, apparel, horse care products, and accessories.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of product features, sizing, safety standards, and discipline-specific applications.

• Assist customers with product selection, recommend complementary items, and support sales goals through effective upselling.

• Accurately process transactions, exchanges, and returns using the point-of-sale system.

• Maintain merchandise displays and replenish stock in accordance with LeMieux visual merchandising standards.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management.

• Ensure the store remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming for customers and team members.

• Support on-site equestrian events, clinics, promotions, and special activations as needed.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• A positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

• Confidence in making product recommendations and closing sales.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when assisting customers with tack and safety equipment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move merchandise.

• Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.

• Hands-on equestrian experience strongly preferred.

• Previous experience in equestrian retail, tack shops, or specialty retail environments is a plus, but not required.

Schedule & Availability

• This is a part-time position averaging up to 17 hours per week.

• Candidates should have flexible availability, including weekends and select evenings, based on event schedules and business needs.

• Additional hours may be available during major equestrian competitions, special events, holiday periods, and other peak business times when supplemental support is needed.

Reporting & Work Location

• Based at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.

• Reports directly to the Florida Market Manager.
